For someone so young and vital to be struck down in the prime of his life by such a devastating disease; it teaches you to appreciate each day that you're given for the gift that it truly is. It also teaches you to remember people for how they lived, not how they died. The deep friendship that Brian Piccolo ultimately shared with Gale Sayers defied the racial discrimination that was prevalent in that era, and the way they helped each other through when life got tough was a testament to their immense love and respect for each other. If you have never seen this movie, you owe it to yourself to watch it with the ones you love.
